OC Shrinks was founded in 2013 by therapist Shelby Castile, LMFT, with one goal in mind: make connection easier in the mental health community. What began as a small network of dedicated clinicians has grown into a female-founded, female-led community of more than 10,000 mental health professionals and partners across Orange County.
Shelby recognized a gap in the field: talented clinicians working independently, clients struggling to find the right fit, and community partners needing stronger collaboration. OC Shrinks was created to close that gap.
Today, the organization stands as one of Orange County’s most trusted platforms for referrals, professional connection, and resource-sharing — continuing to expand with purpose, integrity, and impact. Looking ahead, OC Shrinks remains committed to fostering innovation, supporting clinicians at every stage of their career, and strengthening the local mental health community so that both providers and clients thrive. ♡♡
